I don't know about you, but I am not really all that sad to see summer coming to a slow but eventual ending. Bring out the cozy knits, warm tea and seasonal soups! I am SO ready for fall. I love fall fashion. The warmer/deeper colors, colorful tights, boots, big jackets, I am a big fan. I am absolutely loving the fall trends now appearing in the stores, runways and soon to be all over the streets.
Everyone has their own ideas of what they will be wearing this fall, but here are some of my must have pieces(that wont cost an arm & a leg!),
starting with: THE BOYFRIEND BLAZER.
TOP SHOP is always reeling me in with their beautiful use of colors and patterns. Their Nutmeg blazer is definitely calling my name, however I am also loving the Lauren Conrad inspired Ruched White blazer that is on sale for only $49 at Khols.
Zara also always has some beautiful pieces.
I am loving the sharp angles in the new collection of blazers.

What Happened to Summer?
With school approaching in just under two weeks, I have begun reminiscing on the summer. It filled up so fast I feel like it lasted a lifetime and was over in an instant!
This past month has been full of some of the most memorable times for me, it is hard to think of where to begin.
I have done about 6 markets this summer. They have been great! And I have met some wonderful people through them. They are hard work, but it gives me a new appreciation for this industry and what goes into a successful business.
Two of my close friends were married this summer! What a blessing they are to me, and I am most thrilled to see them both so happy, having found someone special to share their lives, and walk and serve God together.
I also did a little day trip to Seattle, to visit a good friend of mine (who also happens to be an amazing kick-butt photographer and little style diva- shes pretty hilarious too!).
She took some photos of me and some of my headbands for her blog!
With school around the corner- I have NO idea what is in store for Grace Like Rain. I hope to be putting up some jewelry asap! And I suppose we will see what happens from there.
Here are some images from my friend Taelor ELVERUM's wedding.

Me, my friend Ally
The bridesmaids all wore Grace Like Rain headbands. They were stunning on them.
Ally wore a Grace Like Rain headband as well!
Aren't they so pretty!?
The boyfriend and I. He is great. I love him.
My friend Bethany and her husband David. They got married in July!

Milo Greene
I recently came across this nifty little band called Milo Greene. They have such an awesome summery feel to them. You know, that kind of music that goes on repeat while your stirring lemonade, getting ready to go out for an evening outing, or lying outside trying to get a tan in this BC heat? Yeah- well they are that kind of music. (For me at least).
Check em out. They are coming to the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver in November with the Civil Wars. Definitely trying to snag tickets to that one!

Oreo Goodness
Everyone is into the whole DIY trend right now. I definitely am not excluding myself from this - there are a TON of cute DIY projects I am dying to attempt myself!
Normally, I would like to try something out before posting it but I came across this recipe and it is just TOO good not to share. The images might speak for themselves (they sure did to me), but anyways here is an Oreo brownie that I just cant wait to bake. This recipe is from Sing For Your Supper
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon espresso powder, optional
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1 package Oreos (Double Stuff is best!)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×13 pan.
In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, or in a saucepan set over low heat, melt the butter, then add the sugar and stir to combine. Return the mixture to the heat (or microwave) briefly, just until it’s hot, but not bubbling; it’ll become shiny looking as you stir it. Heating the mixture a second time will dissolve more of the sugar, which will yield a shiny top crust on your brownies.
While the sugar heats a second time, beat the eggs, cocoa, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, and vanilla until smooth. Add the hot butter/sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.
Add the flour and chips, again stirring until smooth.
Spoon half of the batter into the greased pan. Place the Oreos in even rows across the batter (as many as you can fit). Pour the remaining batter over the Oreos and gently spread to the edges of the pan. Bake for about 35-40 minutes, until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool the brownies for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Summer Candy
Say hello to the newest Grace Like Rain necklace.
This has been one of the ones I have made that I have formed a strong attachment to. Even though I know this little number will go to a very happy home, I will also be sad to see it leave. (Hopefully I can get a couple wears out of it first!)
